This site treats the time from late 8th to 11th century.
Viking Time is mostly defined by the time from the plundering of the monastry of Lindesfarne in 793 to the battle of Hastings in 1066. This time will be our general condition.

But don't forget: Vikings were also acting in earlier times, for examle: the Swedes established at Staraja Ladoga in the middle of the 8th century, Norwegian Vikings were attacking Portland in 789 and later: the last Danish invasion of England in 1075, Magnus Barelegs (Kg. o. Norw.) was killed while he was raiding Ulster in 1103.......
